Math
Each day we review skills with our 5-a-day questions, problem of the day, and weekly data. The students will also review a variety of skills weekly with their homework sheet. Please make sure your child has their homework with them each day. Homework is due every Friday. On Fridays, we have a weekly assessment to assess the skills covered in class and on our homework sheet. This week we will finish up Topic 12. Our ONLINE Topic 12 test will be given on Friday, Feb. 2nd. We have learned how to partition shapes into equal pieces, how to read and write unit fractions for equal sized parts of a region, how to find fractions on a number line, and how to use a line plot to show data.
I have assigned each lesson quiz and the Topic 12 study guide on Savvas. Students can login through Clever to access these resources for extra practice. If you need any help, please let me know.

Science
We will read Chapter 5, Lesson 3 in class this week. This lesson describes how events can change Ecosystems. We will take the Chapter 5, Lesson 3 quiz on Thursday.
Social Studies
This week we will read the Studies Weekly Week 2 magazine. Students will learn about different types of sources and how they can be used to understand the past.
