My name is Lesley Rogers and Autauga County has been my home for 48 years.  It's where I was raised and where my husband, Jimmy and I are raising our children, Collin and Caroline.  Collin is 18 and is a student-athlete at Southern Methodist University in Dallas.  You may see him on television this fall kicking for the SMU Mustangs. Caroline is starting her 8th-grade year at Prattville Junior High School where she excels in her academics and extra-curricular activities; Sports Medicine and Student Council.   It is a blessing to live and raise my children in Autauga County.

Growing up, my parents always stressed the importance of getting an education, so after graduating from Prattville High School, I continued my education at Troy University where I completed my bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Science of Elementary Education. This achievement led me to Pine Level Elementary in 1997 where I taught 5th grade until transferring to Daniel Pratt Elementary where I taught 4th and 5th grade.  After a decade at Daniel Pratt, I changed my role in education to that of an instructional coach.  In 2016, I was given the opportunity to return to Pine Level Elementary as a K-3 Local Reading Specialist, and I jumped at the opportunity.  PLES has always been special to me, and lord willing will be my "home" until I retire.
