Meet your PreK-2nd grade Counselor

Hello Parents and Visitors!

I’m Annabeth Greene, the PreK through Second grade school counselor at Pine Level Elementary.  In 2013, I graduated from Samford University with my Bachelors degree in Family Studies with a concentration in Marriage and Family and a Minor in Music(voice).  In 2015, I graduated from the University of Montevallo with my Masters degree in School Counseling.  In July of 2022, I earned my Ed.S. in School Counseling from Troy University.  I am also a Nationally Certified Counselor.  This is my 8th year in education, and I absolutely love being part of the PLES family!  This year we are really focusing on leadership skills with our students by teaching the “Seven Habits of Happy Kids”.  Throughout the school year, I will be visiting classes to teach counseling lessons about identifying and applying these habits to our daily routines.  My goal is for the students to fully understand how good habits make great leaders!

Along with counseling lessons, I am also available to help students with individual concerns.  Small group counseling will be held on specific topics related to school.  Students are usually referred by their teacher, but parents can also contact me about concerns they may have.

Often times, parents have questions about services provided at school.  I can help you with questions about Section 504, Response to instruction, or any other concerns you may have about services here at PLES.

Please do not hesitate to call or email me!

Thank you so much for all your support!
