Ms. Dorsey’s Newsletter

November 12- 15

Math

This week our main focus will be on division skills. Continuing to work on multiplication at home will help with division. At this point in the year, your child should know all their multiplication facts. Since this is a nearly learned skill, it is very important that they are practicing every night.

MATH PROJECT: There is a paper coming home about a multiplication math game. This is due Tuesday, December 3

Science

We are still in Chapter 4 where we are learning about classifying animals. This week we will be moving on to Lessons 3 and 4 in the science book. If you would like to read it at home your child may bring his/her book home.

Social Studies

We will be doing Week 8 The Americas Weekly Newspaper and vocabulary. Students will learn about their continent of North America and its history. They will discuss ancient cultures such as the Olmec, Maya, and Aztec.
